GLOBAL EXCELLENCE MAGAZINE is a weekly celebrity journal based in Lagos, Nigeria. It is in the same category with CITY PEOPLE, ENCOMIUM & others. Some people refer to publications in this genre as " JUNK", "SOFTSELL" or "GOSSIP MAGAZINES".
Anyway, Global Excellence Magazine, published by Mr Mayor Akinpelu staged its annual Excellence Awards yesterday(Sun 22/3/2009) at the Balmoral Event Center on Oregun Rd, Ikeja-Lagos. Below as some of the personalties at the event(Above): Actress Cossy Orjiako(left) & her elder sisiter, Nkoli Orjiako. Cossy is more popular in Nigeria for her penchant for flaunt her voluminous boobs without any qualms rather than her proficiency in acting..Nkoli, her elder sister seems to be trying to launch herself also into limelight of late. A talented fine-arstiste by profession, Nkoli has a 7-year old son called Daniel.

LEGENDARY BANKER, OTUNBA SUBOMI BALOGUN CLOCKS 75

The founder and Chairman of the FIRST CITY FINANCIAL GROUP, Otunba Subomi Balogun,GCON, attained the age of 75 recently. to celebrate the man who singlehandedly built of one Africa's biggest financial institution, an elaborate society party was put together in his honour. The event for Balogun's 75th birthday started with a well-attended book launch on Thur March 5th, at the Muson Centre in Lagos while the second phase started with an inspiring church service at the Cathedral Church of Christ Marina which was followed immediately by a colourful reception at Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos, all on Monday 9th March, 2009..The celebrant is one of the few Nigerian elites who have touched so many lives with their various acts of philantropy. When he clocked 70 in 2004, he donated a multimillion Naira Paediatric centre purposely built to offer free medicare to children and the less privileged in the society. This probably accounts for why there was a massive turn-out of distinguished Nigerians and eminent personalities at his 75th birthday yesterday..Below are the pictures of some of the guests at the event as captured by SOLA FOLOWOSELE.
