GBENGA X-ADEBIJA LOSES MUM

Ex-Cadbury Nigeria topshot, Gbenga X-Adebija is bereaved..his mum MRS JULIANA ADEBIJA passed on to greater glory yesterday.She was aged 65..
The late virtous woman was born Feb 8 1943 in Okene. After her education, she married Peter Adebija and together raised their five children including the Managing Director & Chief Executive of Ashton & Layton, Gbenga X-Adebija.She was a successful business woman in ilorin as well as devoted wife and loving mother. A devout Roman Catholic, she was an active member of the Catholic Women Organisation(CWO), St Theresa's Society and Board of Church Wardens. One of her children, Fr Nicholas Adebija is a Roman Catholic priest.She died in Lagos on 9th August 2008, a day after what would have been her 49th wedding anniversary. Interestingly, her husband, Peter Adebija, died as a Deputy Permanent Secretary in the Kwara State Civil Service on 28th August 1988..MAY HER SOUL REST IN PEACE
Gbenga was the PR Executive of Cadbury Nig. Plc until early last year when he 'stepped aside' voluntarily after 15 years of meritorious service to set up his own multi media firm known as ASHTON & LAYTON.Apart from being a columnist with THISDAY ON SUNDAY, he is also the author of the book THE MAGNIFICAT, which is also available on his website www.gbengaadebija.com
An Alumus of the UNIVERSITY OF LONDON and LAGOS BUSINESS SCHOOL,Gbenga is currently the SPECIAL ASSISTANT TO THE HONOURABLE MINISTER OF TRANSPORT in Abuja,Nigeria.

Former Presidential candidate of the F.R.E.S.H. PARTY in Nigeria and the General Overseer of The Household of God Church,(Lagos), Rev.Chris Okotie(50) began the process of formalising his relationship with the woman that stole his heart, Stephanie Henshaw, in a colourful traditional wedding in Ikoyi, Lagos,yesterday Aug. 7,2008. With this latest development,what started like a mere gossip has now metamorphorsed into a reality before our very eyes.Stephanie is one of the numerous beautiful sisters who worship at Rev. Okotie's church in Oregun area of Lagos.Said to be twice married with 3 kids, her current adventure with Rev Okotie is her 3rd attempt at marriage.Okotie on his part was once married to Tyna,his first love, for 17 years before they parted ways in 2001 when Tyna relocated to the US and refused to come back to Nigeria. The union did not produce any issue while it lasted.

In 2007 when the Greek-speaking man of God vied for Nigeria's presidency on the platform of FRESH PARTY, which he solely formed and financed, he was constantly at the receiving of various verbal attacks from those who believe that a 'bachelor' is not morally qualified to rule Nigeria , but now that Okotie is finally married, the story certainly has to change.
